Feb. 2-6

Here are a few pictures from our week.  We are working hard on decoding words and our literary focus for the past few weeks has been digraphs.
Take a peek into our week....

Our theme was dinosaurs this week, so we made these cute stegosaurus headbands, courtesy of Mrs. Dugan.  I sure am glad she is so artsy!

Working in our reading groups:

Spelling CVC Words.

And in Religion, we read and talked about the Bible story:  Joseph and his coat of many colors.  It is always so rewarding listening to my students (just 5 and 6 yr olds) make so much sense and have this authentic, genuine, simple view of how we should be living.  At some point in our discussion, one of them said something to the effect of:  "Well, even if someone hurts us, we should always forgive them or it will take away our happy."  --WOW!  I love, love, love this!  These children can teach us so much!  I felt like I was the one learning and being reminded of the way we should live.  Truly rewarding.
Here is our Joseph:
